(Danville, VA) – The Danville Police Department as well as members of the Danville Life Saving Crew’s Water rescue team were called to the area around Cabin Creek Lake Tuesday afternoon just after 4 pm for reports of a car submerged in the lake.

Authorities found a male inside the vehicle with his seat belt fastened and the doors locked just off of Navajo Court. The man has been identified but authorities are working now to notify his family.

According to Danville Police Department Maj. Chris Wiles authorities do not at this time suspect foul play with regard to the incident.

The car and body were found in a man-made lake behind the former Cabin Lake condominium complex, which burned in a fire twenty years ago.
