(Martinsville, VA) – An arrest has been made after the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of shots fired Monday night.  Deputies found 37-year old Daniel Brown suffering from a gunshot wound to the head at a home on Ashley Drive.  The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment initially then transferred to Roanoke for continuing care.  The injuries sustained were not life threatening.

After the investigation authorities determined Dennis Hall, 40, climbed in through a window and shot Brown in his own home.  The two have a history of arguments and run ins.  Hall was arrested without incident at his apartment on Clearview Drive.  He has been charged with malicious wounding, armed burglary during the nighttime, two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  He is currently being held at the Henry County Jail without bond.
