(Pelham, N.C.) – The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office says 55-year-old Mark Steven Coles died in a house fire in the Pelham community Thursday morning. A preliminary investigation indicates that the fire was electrical in nature.

Firefighters from the Pelham, Providence, Yanceyville and Ruffin Volunteer Departments responded to a report of a structure fire at 170 Jeffries Road off Law Road and U.S. Highway 29 just after one a.m.

Caswell County EMS was also called to the scene and Coles was found dead inside the house.
