UPDATE: Police have located his pick-up truck but Moore remains at large.

(Danville, Va.) – A Danville man is being sought in Thursday’s shooting outside the Dollar General Store on the South Boston Road.

Danville Police were called to the Rt. 58 address just after 3:45 p.m. after receiving a report that a man had been shot in the parking lot. On arrival, they found a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the emergency room and was last listed in serious condition at SOVAH Health Danville.

Investigators are looking for 30-year-old Matthew Dustin Moore, also of Danville. Moore is charged with malicious wounding and is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say the two men know each other.

Moore may be driving a 2000 Chevy pickup truck with Virginia license VDK-4277. The vehicle has heavy front-end damage.

At last report, the search had been expanded to Halifax County.
