(Martinsville, Va.) – Charges have been filed in a Sunday morning shooting in Martinsville.

22-year-old Hakim Martin has been arrested and charged with malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied building and use of a firearm in a felony. He is charged in a shooting that happened around 2:30 Sunday morning in the 900 block of Royal Drive.

29-year-old Tyrel O’Bryant Coles of Martinsville was shot. He was taken to SOVAH of Martinsville initially and later transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Martin is being held in the Martinsville City Jail without bond.
