(Spotsylvania County, Va.) – Virginia State Police have canceled an Amber Alert for a missing 5-year-old girl after she was found safe.

An Endangered Missing Child Alert was issued Sunday night for 5-year-old Scarlett Kathleen Belle Lago. Spotsylvania County authorities believe the girl was taken by her father, Gonzalo “Danny” Ira Lago, Sunday evening. Police said the pair left in a GMC flatbed truck and that the child might be in danger.

The girl was found several hours later, unharmed.
