(Franklin County, Va.) – Seven people have been arrested in Franklin County after a series of break-ins at a vacant home that was recently damaged by fire.

The home on Lakemount Drive in Moneta was entered twice in September and 25-year-old Zachariah Markham of Glade Hill and 32-year-old Brittany Nichols of Rocky Mount were charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny. Markham is also charged with destruction of property.

Investigators were called back to the house in October and caught four people involved in another entry. They also recovered stolen items taken from the house. They face burglary and larceny charges.
