(Danville, Va.) — A Danville man who admitted to selling drugs near a preschool playground has been sentenced to 37 months in prison.
23-year-old Keemo Jonathan Lee was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to the sale of cocaine, heroin and illegal firearms in August.
He was charged in February following an undercover investigation by the Danville Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Several purchases of guns and drugs were made through Lee, some of which included exchanges near Grove Park playground and Danville Community College.
He faced three counts of distribution and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of distribution and possession with the intent to distribute heroin and two counts of sale of a firearm to a prohibited person.
Lee entered the pleas without a deal with federal prosecutors. He was sentenced in U.S. Western District Court in Danville.
