(Danville, Va.) — The Danville Police Department is investigating a double homicide.

Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Lexington Avenue just before 10:00 Wednesday night for a disturbance call. Upon arrival, officers found three individuals suffering from serious injuries.

Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, reportedly from stab wounds. The third was transported from the scene by EMS and is currently receiving treatment.

A suspect is currently in police custody. Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the suspect and say the investigation is active and ongoing.
