(Gretna, Va.) – A Gretna man was killed in a farming accident Thursday.

Virginia State Police say 32-year-old Dylan Kyle Adkins was operating a 1997 Weststar 4964F farm vehicle on Tightsqueeze Road near Ponderosa Road when it ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned, trapping Adkins inside.

State Police say Adkins was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and died at the scene of the accident, which happened just after 4 p.m. near Chatham.

The crash remains under investigation.
