(Henry County, Va.) — Governor Northam traveled to Henry County Wednesday for a major economic development announcement.
Northam announced 300 new jobs and a $30 million investment by Monogram Snacks.
Monogram Food Solutions, a Memphis-based manufacturer of processed meats, is expanding its facility in the Henry County Patriot Centre Industrial Park.
The expansion will add 300 employees and bring the company’s total workforce in Henry County to around 1,000. The expansion is one of five the company has made since starting the Henry County operation in 2009.
Northam approved a $350,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Henry County with the project. The Governor also approved a $300,000 performance-based grant from the Virginia Investment Partnership program, an incentive available to existing companies.
