(Danville, Va.) – A fire in Druid Hills was brought under control quickly.

Danville firefighters were called to 124 Druid Lane about 4:00 Tuesday afternoon and found smoke showing from the eaves of the house. The fire was traced to the family room off the carport and firefighters kept the flames from spreading to the rest of single-story home.

The fire was controlled quickly. No one was home at the time and there were no injuries.

The fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.

16 firefighters were on the scene for about two hours.
