(Figsboro, Va.) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the man who backed an  SUV into a store before taking money from the register and driving away.

It happened at the Figsboro General Store on Figsboro Road around 3:00 Sunday morning.

Police say the thief did a considerable amount of damage to the storefront and the register before fleeing with an undetermined amount of money. After getting inside the store, he then drove into the cash register to gain entry. He also attempted to take money from an ATM but was unsuccessful.

The sheriff’s office said the robber was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer that was recovered later in the day in Franklin County.
