(Danville, Va.) – Portions of the Riverwalk Trail are under water following recent heavy rainfall.

While the majority of the trail is clear of flood waters, low lying sections are submerged and pose a potential danger. Parts of Angler’s Park were covered by water Friday morning.

Parks and Recreation maintenance crews are monitoring the trail and placing appropriate signage; however, if you see a section under water with no signage, do not attempt to cross.
