(Danville, Va.) — A Danville teen has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for his role in a murder last year.
Stevie Johnson Jr. was sentenced Wednesday for attempted murder and conspiracy charges in an incident the prosecutor described as a feud between rival gang members.
Johnson earlier pleaded guilty in the murder of 23-year-old Louis Glenn on Moffett Street in September 2017. Three others are charged in the shooting death, including a 14-year-old boy.
Johnson was sentenced to three years for his use of a firearm charge, and 10 years each for his conspiracy to commit 1st-degree murder and attempted murder charges, for a total of 23 years. Ten years of the sentence was suspended.
A minister and one of Johnson’s high school teachers testified on his behalf during Johnson’s sentencing hearing.
