(Danville, Va.) – An arrest has been made in a homicide that happened on July 5 in Danville.
24-year-old Marshall Sylvan Silver Jr. of Danville was arrested Thursday and charged in the death of 55-year-old Allan Wright. The Danville man’s body was found lying in the yard of a home and the medical examiner determined he died of a gunshot wound.
In addition to murder, Silver faces firearms charges in Wright’s death.
Police were called to the 200 block on Clement Avenue just after 7 on the morning of July 5th. Wright was found dead at the scene.
Silver is being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond. Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
At this time, investigators say they have no other suspects in the murder.
