(Blairs, Va.) — Virginia State Police say one man was killed and two others were injured in a three-vehicle accident in Blairs Monday morning.

According to the state trooper, a person driving a Ford Taurus in the northbound lanes of US 29 Business ran across the center line and struck a pickup truck carrying sheet rock, head-on. An SUV then ran into the back of the truck.

The man who died was driving the Taurus and has not been identified. He died before he could be loaded into a helicopter for transport.

Two patients were transported to SOVAH Health for treatment of injuries.

Virginia State Police are continuing their investigation into the crash, which happened just before 10 a.m. Monday in the 3600 hundred block of 29 business and reduced traffic to two lanes of travel.
