(Rockingham County, N.C.) — A Danville man wanted for kidnapping and strangulation charges is behind bars in North Carolina.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 50-year-old Douglas Ray Scearce, of Beech Avenue, in connection with an incident that happened at a home on East Stadium Drive in Eden, North Carolina.

Investigators have been looking for him since June 22 and say Evans was arrested Monday and placed in the Rockingham County Jail.
