(Danville, Va.) — Danville Firefighters made quick work of a house fire at 341 Wendall Scott Drive Thursday afternoon.

The department responded at 5:30 and crews reported light smoke coming from the roof of the home.

Upon investigation, investigators traced the problem to an electrical panel box with fire showing.  The fire was quickly extinguished but the residence had moderate smoke damage.

No one was injured and the Red Cross is assisting the family.

Danville Fire Department units were on scene for more than an hour.
