(Danville, Va.) — A kitten that was thrown from a moving car on June 2nd has died and the Danville Humane Society is offering a reward for the person responsible.

Humane Society Executive Director Paulette Dean said the kitten had been doing very well and getting stronger, but staff members noticed a change. They took him back to the veterinary clinic Tuesday, where he died.

The Humane Society has offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons responsible for the animal’s death.
