(Danville, Va.) — The case against a Danville teen charged with firing shots outside a local elementary school was continued Tuesday after the defendant’s father failed to show up to testify in court.
19-year-old Darick Richardson was set for a bond hearing, which was rescheduled for May 9. Richardson is accused of firing shots in the park in front of GLH Johnson Elementary School back in February. No one was injured and Richardson was arrested with blocks of the incident, minutes after the school was placed under lockdown.
He remains jailed pending the bond hearing. Police have not established a motive in the shooting.
