(Chatham, Va.) – The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has arrested John Calvin Skinner III.
Skinner was apprehended after a reward was offered. Investigators said that he was considered “armed and dangerous.”
He faces multiple felony charges related to a shooting incident in the Kentuck community during the early morning hours of Thursday, April 5. Deputies responded to a disturbance around 4 a.m. but Skinner had fled the scene. Investigators said at the time that Skinner was believed to have “multiple firearms” in his possession.
He is charged with shooting into an occupied building, attempted malicious wounding, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, and use of a firearm in a felony.
He is being held in the Pittsylvania County Jail.
