(Chatham, Va.) — The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office needs help from the public in locating John Calvin Skinner III. They say Skinner is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Kentuck area around 4 p.m. Thursday for a report of a disturbance that was reported to the 911 center. Skinner had fled the scene.

Felony warrants were obtained for Skinner, who is charged with shooting into an occupied building, attempted malicious wounding, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, and use of a firearm in a felony. The charges stem from a shooting incident that happened earlier in the week.

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office believes Skinner is in possession of multiple firearms.

Sheriffs deputies located Skinner’s vehicle Thursday night.

Anyone with information regarding Skinner’s whereabouts is asked to call the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office at (434)-432-7931.
