(Martinsville, Va.) — Human remains found on Saturday have been identified as those of a missing Martinsville man.
But the state medical examiner has yet to establish the cause of death for Larry Dalton Hinchee, and the office says it could take weeks before a determination is made.
The 54-year-old left his job at Eastman Chemical during the early morning hours of March 24. Hinchee made it home and was seen walking through the neighborhood later that morning. Investigators say the walks were part of his routine.
Hinchee’s body was found a week later in a wooded area about a mile and a half from his home.
Henry County investigators said the medical examiner’s office is continuing to investigate the cause of death.
