(Danville, Va.) – A Danville teenager was shot early Thursday morning at Sheetz on Riverside Drive.

Danville Police responded to a call of shots fired at 3425 Riverside Drive around 12:46 a.m.

According to police, an 18-year-old female and Danville resident was struck by gunfire and had been taken by family to SOVAH Health before officers arrived at the scene.

The girl suffered what police described as a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the right side of her body.

No arrests have been made and police haven’t commented on potential suspects. The investigation is continuing.

The shooting comes a week after an exchange of gunfire left two people wounded at nearby Buffalo Wild Wings. Four men have been charged in that incident.
