(Danville, Va.) — The Danville Courthouse is open for business this morning. The building had been closed for two days because of a power outage caused by an equipment failure. Emergency generators provided power to part of the building and to the jail but the courthouse remained closed yesterday. It will reopen this morning and the Municipal Building will offer full services. Utility crews replaced a transformer, switch, cables and lightning arresters. The outage affected Craghead, Lynn, Loyal and Wilson streets but service to those areas was restored by Tuesday evening.
