(Chatham, Va.) — Fire damaged a Pittsylvania County cabinet shop late Wednesday afternoon.

A passerby spotted flames at Wayne’s Cabinet Shop off Route 29 in Chatham. Firefighters responded and found smoke and flames coming from the business. The fire was contained by 7 p.m. but crews were still dousing hot spots.

Several volunteers departments responded to the call and the Pittsylvania County fire marshal is investigating the cause.

There were no injuries.
