(Burlington, N.C.) — A couple has been charged with murder after authorities found remains in a Caswell County field over the weekend. The body is believed to be that of 84-year-old Harold Simpson, who had been missing since August 19.

Sean Castorina and Penny Dawson were arrested in Minnesota last Thursday after authorities in Nelson County, Virginia say they shot and seriously wounded a woman there before stealing her car. Dawson’s vehicle was found in the area.

Burlington Police received information that Simpson’s body might be located on Totten Road in Caswell County. Human remains were found and taken to the medical examiner. Investigators believe the remains are Simpson but are awaiting official notification.
