GREENSBORO, N.C. – A Danville man has died after being struck by a car in Greensboro Saturday.

Greensboro Police identify the man 76-year-old Warren Lee Pettis of Danville.

According to investigators, Pettis was a pedestrian and was attempting to cross West Wendover Avenue near Edwardia Drive about 3:15 p.m. when he was struck by a 2013 Toyota Tundra driven by 64-year-old Ronald Ray McKenzie of Greensboro. He was not in a cross walk at the time of the accident.

Pettis was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he died from his injuries.
