(Pittsylvania County, Va.) — Farmers in Pittsylvania County who were hard hit by Tropical Storm Michael may now apply for financial assistance.

The Pittsylvania County Farm Service Agency is accepting applications through Dec. 28. Applications may be submitted for debris removal and damaged fences and waterways. If you have damage and plan to apply for aid, you must notify the agency before submitting an application.

After Dec. 28, the Farm Service Agency will send all of the applications to Washington, D.C., for approval.
