(Gretna, Va.) — A Pittsylvania County firefighter was treated for a heat-related injury while fighting a fire in Gretna Thursday. Units from several volunteer fire departments responded to the house fire on Creasy Street in Gretna.

No one was home at the time and it’s believed the fire started in some unattended cooking in the kitchen.
