CHATHAM, VA – A man plead guilty yesterday after an incident April 5th.  John Calvin Skinner III, 34, of Ringgold, pleaded guilty to charges of attempted malicious wounding, using a firearm in a felony, possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and shooting into an occupied domicile Wednesday.  The incident was prompted by a neighbor asking Skinner’s children to turn down some music, which led to weeks of heated exchange culminating into skinner shooting at the neighbor, Michael Dabbs 4 times with an assault rifle.  One Round struck Dabbs’s truck the other 3 hit a neighboring trailer.  Sentencing will be held in November, and the charges carry a maximum of 28 years in prison.
