Houston, TX (AP) – A High School near Houston reported shots fired at approximately 8am this morning.
Aerial footage from the scene showed students standing in a field with three helicopters landing at the school.
One student told a local Houston television station, “We thought it was a fire drill at first but really, the teacher said, ‘Start running.” The school’s assistant principal has confirmed that the shooter “has been arrested and secured.” An unspecified number of people have been reported injured during the event.
