(Danville,Va.) (Photo by WSET)– Life is finally returning to normal for most in Danville and Pittsylvania County after Sunday’s EF1 tornado roared through, knocking down trees and power lines and leaving thousands of residents without power.  Westover Drive, part of which had been blocked to traffic since Sunday night, was reopened to traffic Thursday.  Reuben’s Restaurant, which had damages to its roof and back wall, was also able to reopen Thursday. Crews have been working continuously to restore the power poles and lines throughout the area, while volunteers from God’s Pit Crew, Liberty University and others plan to continue helping to clear trees and other debris through Saturday.  The total damage estimate in the city of Danville, now stands at over three million dollars.
