(Pittsylvania County, Va.) – Virginia State Police say two people died in a weekend crash on the Berry Hill Road.

According to the Trooper E. W. Dillard, a Nissan 350-Z was headed south when the driver attempted to pass another car in a no passing zone. The Nissan struck a north bound Chevrolet Tahoe, head-on.

25-year-old Osama Adnan Bataneh of Danville was driving the Nissan. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

71-year-old Fred Dillard Wilson of Danville was driving the Tahoe. He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

A 3-year-old passenger was also was injured and transported to the hospital. The toddler was in a child-restraining seat.
