(Stuart, Va.) – The car belonging to a missing Ridgeway man was found Monday at the bottom of a cliff at Lover’s Leap.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has been looking for 62-year-old Phillip Daniel Lilly since he was reported missing by family on Jan. 2. His silver, 2001 Toyota Echo was discovered over the cliff at Lover’s Leap on Monday, but there was no sign of Lilly.

The Martinsville Bulletin reports that investigators determined that the Toyota was unoccupied and that it had not crashed. It was recovered Tuesday and is being processed by investigators. No human remains were found in or around the vehicle.

Authorities say it appears that the Toyota had been at the location for some time and are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity at the location to call the Henry County’s Sheriff’s Department.
