(Chatham, Va.) — A recount in a Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisor’s race is continuing this hour and the registrar’s office says it will likely be seven o’ clock tonight before the results have been tabulated.

Pittsylvania County Circuit Court Judge Stacey W. Moreau ordered the recount, which is being conducted by a three-person court at the county registrar’s Office on Main Street in Chatham.

Ben Farmer won the Callands-Gretna District seat by just 14 votes over of nearly 2,800 ballots cast. His opponent, Barbara Hancock, requested the recount. A three-judge panel ruled against Farmer’s request for dismissal earlier today. Results are expected later tonight.
