(Danville, Va.) — Power has been restored to all customers affected by a power outage that affected about 65 customers in downtown Danville Tuesday morning, with the exception of the courthouse and jail. Both continue to be served by a generator. A transformer must be replaced to restore regular service to the courthouse and jail.

Power to everyone else was restored around 7 p.m.

Power to portions of Craghead, Lynn, Loyal and Wilson streets went out late Tuesday morning. The outage left 65 customers, including the Municipal Building and courthouse, either in the dark or relying on emergency lights.
