(Boones Mill, Va.) – A two-day trial has been scheduled in October for the man charged in the abduction and murder of a Franklin County woman.

Lamarre Camper is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Brittany Freeny, who disappeared from her home in late April.

Freeny’s body was found on May 1 in the Boones Mill area of Franklin County.

Camper was arrested in Wake County, N.C. on May 3, when he was charged with burning the car that he and Freeny were last seen in.

Franklin County investigators have requested all medical records for Freeny, including psychiatric, physiological, hospitalization and emergency room reports from January 2016 until the time of her death.

A search warrant reveals Camper made statements about Freeny with specific details that might be corroborated by the medical records.
