U.S. Representative John McGuire made campaign stops across Danville and Pittsylvania County yesterday ahead of today’s primary election. McGuire waved to voters in Tightsqueeze on their way to work on Monday morning then spoke with residents at Bojangles.

Yesterday afternoon McGuire was joined in Danville by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. McGuire and Kennedy visited the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research as well as a rehab facility.

McGuire is facing challenger Melanie Lucero tomorrow in the Republican Party Primary for Virginia’s 5th Congressional District in the House of Representatives.
