The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating a robbery that occurred at a convenience store on Sunday. Deputies along with officers from the South Boston Police Department and Virginia State Police, responded at 1 pm to Smiley’s Convenience Store located on Bill Tuck Highway in reference to a reported robbery.

As the investigation continues, investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the silver Cadillac pictured. At this time, investigators believe the robbery suspect may have been operating or associated with this vehicle after fleeing the scene.

The available surveillance footage does not provide a readable license plate number. Deputies are asking anyone who recognizes this vehicle, knows who may have been operating it, or has any information that could assist investigators to contact Lieutenant Jeff Burton at 434-476-3339.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hat, white shirt, and black shorts. During the robbery, the suspect used a black shirt to conceal his face and demanded money from the clerk. At no time during the incident was the suspect reported to be armed.
