SOL testing scores in Pittsylvania County last school year were at or above the state average for 26 of the 28 SOL tests. However, scores were still well below pre-pandemic levels.

The good news for Pittsylvania County is their pass rates haven’t dropped as much as the average pass rate across the state. Pass rates across the state have dropped in some subjects by as much as 16% since the pandemic, while in Pittsylvania County the pass rates are 12% or lower in each subject. According to accreditation ratings released by the Virginia Department of Education, all 18 schools in Pittsylvania County are accredited for the 2022-23 school year.
