Back for a second year on Southside the Blue Ridge Rock Festival will get underway on Thursday.  The show will take place in a different venue this time, Virginia International Raceway. Motorists have already seen some impacts to traffic in the area as crews have been bringing in stages and equipment.  The real influx of congestion will begin Wednesday as gates will open for those wanting to camp out through the festival can begin check in beginning at 7am.  With an estimated 160,000 fans expected across the festival from Thursday to Sunday, tickets are mostly sold out for the event.  Signage is up along roadways to help attendees get into and out of the venue and motorists are urged to use caution as they move through the area.
