Danville Police pay tribute to department Chaplain S. A. Spalding who is leaving the role. Chaplain Spalding routinely volunteered his time to make himself available to officers. Whether it was casual conversations, participating in ride alongs, or responding in times of crisis for the department or the community, he was always there. Major T. W. Jones presented Chaplain Spalding with a shadow box to commemorate his dedicated service.
