After two months of serving in the position on an interim basis, Chris Key is named the full-time Public Safety Director for Pittsylvania County. He has decades of experience in public safety along with fire service management and operations, notably working with the Danville Fire Department for over 30 years. Key holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science from Danville Community College. He assumes the position permanently as of today.
