Virginia lawmakers return to Richmond next week and according to published reports they may be voting on the state budget. The two chambers came to an impasse on spending plans when the regular session ended in March and after a special session the budgets still were $3 billion apart. One other possible action item is addressing record gas prices. Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s proposed gas tax suspension was rejected by a Senate committee but the governor asked lawmakers to reconsider it.
