MARTINSVILLE, Va. – A special grand jury in Martinsville has returned more than 100 drug-related indictments.

27 people were named in the 123 indictments. All face charges for crimes related to illegal drug activity. All but six of the defendants have been arrested.

The undercover bust was a joint operation involving the Martinsville Police Department, the Martinsville Sheriff’s Office, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police and the United States Marshals Service.

The investigation is ongoing.
