HENRY COUNTY, Va. – A fight between two men escalated, sending both to the hospital.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Monday, officers were sent to the Northview Gardens Apartments on Stultz Road in Martinsville. Police arrived and determined that 39-year-old Marvin Antonio Pritchett and 46-year-old got into a fight after Pritchett reportedly drove to Boswell’s home and assaulted him in the parking lot.

Pritchett received a cut to his neck and was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery. He is expected to recover.

During the altercation, police say Pritchett assaulted a woman, who is also the mother to his child.

Boswell was treated and released at SOVAH Health in Martinsville.

The incident remains under investigation.
