SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – Two South Boston residents are charged in a weekend murder in Halifax County. 30-year-old Darrin Lamont Crawley faces first-degree murder and firearms charges. 28-year-old Lucy Bouldin Cook was arrested and charged with felony obstruction of justice

Dispatchers received a 911 call at at about 2 a.m. Sunday from Halifax Sentara hospital after a man was brought in to the emergency room with multiple gunshot wounds. The man later died as a result of his injuries. Investigators say the shooting took place at a home in the Cluster Springs community.

Cook was released on a $2,000 bond. Crawley is being held without bond with a court date scheduled for Monday, April 6.

Both Cook and Crawley were arrested without incident.
