Zombie Walk


Put on your best zombie clothes and makeup and join in on a terrifying walk to help benefit God's Store House and the Danville Humane Society, Saturday, October 11th. Makeup booths and costume contests start at 4pm.  Walk will start at 5pm at Hudson's Welding on Westover Drive.  All ages welcome! Voices from the Past: Historical Halloween


“Voices from the Past: Historical Halloween” returns in a big way with a new director, Norman Summers, and more cemetery tours.   Captivating stories from Danville’s history are told by ghostly voices of community actors as you tour the Sutherlin Mansion and nearby Grove Street Cemetery.  The tours are recommended for ages 8 to 100 with a matinee for the weak at heart.  One hour shows will be on the evenings of October 29, 30, 31, and the afternoon of November 1.  Purchase your tickets now, $10 in advance, at the Danville Museum.  Tickets are $15 at the door, while supplies last.  Call 434.793.5644 for available show times as some are already sold out.  What a ghoulish way to support your museum and learn about local history!  For more information, visit the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History’s website at www.danvillemuseum.org, join them on Facebook and Twitter, or call 434.793.5644.  Museum memberships are available for everyone including special rates for students, teachers, artists, and extended families.

River City Halloween Costume Ball


The Danville Professional Firefighters Association is hosting the 3rd Annual River City Halloween Costume Ball Friday, October 24th at the Community Market in downtown Danville, beginning at 7pm.  Tickets are only $10 and are available at the Welcome Center or at the door.  Proceeds from the party will benefit the Danville Burn Fund.  Put on your best costume and enjoy a night of fun for a great cause!! Spooktacular 5K


Roxboro Physical Therapy Presents the 2nd Annual Spooktacular 5K Run Saturday, October 25th in Uptown Roxboro.  Race day registration opens at 2pm.
